Studio Rules

The first step to becoming a successful dancer is making a solid commitment to your classes. Strong technique is a key ingredient and class is where you develop that technique. Come to each class prepared to learn. Class time is your chance to focus on yourself, so try to leave all your concerns and worries at the studio door. Make the most out of every class!

  1. Respect all classmates and teachers. Listen to each correction given, whether it’s directed at you or another dancer. A correction is an honor; it shows you how much a teacher cares about your progress as a dancer.

  2. Be on time and ready to enter the room after the previous class is finished.

  3. Wear proper attire for each class.

  4. Do not talk off to the side while students are dancing across the floor.

  5. Please notify BPAC staff if you need to be absent for any reason or need to leave early or to arrive late.

Studio Policies

Tuition: If you are paying tuition monthly, it is due by the 7th of each month. Any tuition received after the 7th will receive a $30 late fee. After the 7th, we will not accept any payments that do not include the $30 late fee. Tuition will be sent by email via Swipe Simple. You can make your payment directly through the invoice.

Costumes: A costume deposit of $35 is due on September 7th for the Nutcracker and on February 7th for the Spring Show. The costume deposit fee helps to pay for the dry cleaning of costumes after each recital. Costume fees and stage fees that are not paid by the due date will also receive a $30 late fee.

Attendance: Please be sure that your child is picked up on time. BPAC policy is that students may be dropped off 15-20 minutes early (ages 10 & up). Students may wait in the lobby or stretch quietly in the waiting area if other classes are being held. We know the hustle and bustle of every-day life can be challenging. Please be sure that your child is picked up on time, as our staff members have personal responsibilities and home lives that deserve respect and consideration.

Absence/Make-up Classes: If students miss a private or duet, a make-up class is available within 1 month of the class missed. Contact your child’s teacher to schedule a make-up class. There will be NO refunds for missed classes.

Medical Situations: Illnesses and injuries may prevent a student from dancing. A letter must be presented from a doctor stating the medical condition and the number of days a dancer is unable to participate in class. A credit determined by the number of days absent will be issued towards tuition. If a dancer is physically unable to participate in class, they should try to continue to attend and observe their class, so they do not fall behind.

Inclement Weather: The safety of our students is of utmost concern. If the weather is bad (snow, ice, extreme storms), we may cancel class. Generally, we try to follow Forsyth County Schools weather closures. We will send an email out to parents if classes are cancelled due to the weather. We do not pro-rate for classes missed due to inclement weather. We do not pro-rate tuition for holiday closings. Our monthly tuition is based upon four classes during the month. If we are closed for holidays, there are other months during which five classes are taught at no extra charge.
