Student of the Month
makenzie
We are so happy for Makenzie, our Company member Student of the Month! Makenzie is 16 years old and attends Reagan High School. Makenzie has been a beloved member of our studio since she was three years old, and we are extremely proud of all her accomplishments. She began as a quiet, shy student and has developed into a confident dancer who shines on stage. Makenzie has phenomenal musicality and displays that skill through her tap-dancing skills. She is a reliable student and is always on time and remembers choreography from week to week. Makenzie, your BPAC family is proud of your excellence in dance.
Here is what Makenzie said about why she likes to dance:
“I like to dance because it’s a good way to express myself without having to use words. All of the styles can display a range of emotions just by changing the music you pair it with and the motion you do making it truly special.
My favorite style of dance is tap because of the rhythm and feeling. When you’re dancing tap, you’re so much more grounded and integrated into your moves than any other style. I like dancing at BPAC because of the community I feel with the other dancers. All of the girls in my group are some of my closest friends and I love getting to grow together with them.
bailey
Bailey is our Level 1 representative for Student of the Month. Bailey is in the 7th grade and attends Lewisville Middle School.
catherine
Catherine is a Level 2 dancer and is excited to be Student of the Month! Catherine is six years old and at Meadowlark Elementary School. She takes classes in acro, ballet, jazz, and tap. Catherine always has a smile on her face and shares her smile with others. She works hard in class to learn new dance moves with a positive attitude!
Here’s what Catherine said about dance: “I like to dance because it makes me happy! My favorite style of dance is ballet because it’s very pretty and I like to learn ballet technique. I love dancing at BPAC because I get to be with my friends.”
KENZIE
The spotlight is on this sweet Level 3 dancer, Kenzie. Kenzie is full of love and hugs. She makes everyone feel welcomed at the studio. Kenzie has a great knowledge of ballet terms and their meanings. You rock, Kenzie!
Edie Rees likes to dance “because I can do turns and do different dances. I have fun with my friends. I like tap dance because I like to make noises with my feet. I like dancing at BPAC because my teacher is kind.”
Mary
Last but not least, Mary is our Preschool representative for Student of the Month! Mary is a vibrant and energetic dancer. She is bubbly and full of life, always keeping the class feeling upbeat. She loves to learn new dance moves in class!
Mary said this about dancing: “I love to dance because I am a dancer. I can’t wait to do The Nutcracker show! I like doing the mouse dance with our costumes. I like to jump and to spin.”
