Student of the Month
maggie
We are so happy for Maggie, our Company member Student of the Month! Maggie is 17 years old and is a Senior at Bishop McGuinness High School. Maggie has been a beloved member of our studio for many years, and we are extremely proud of all her accomplishments. She began as a quiet, shy student and has developed into a confident dancer who shines on stage. Maggie is able to portray a wide variety of characters on stage, showcasing her acting abilities. Maggie, your BPAC family is proud of your excellence in dance.
Here is what Maggie said about why she likes to dance:
“I like dancing because I can really express myself with motions instead of with words. I just love it! My favorite style of dance is contemporary because I can really feel the music and I just love the lines and flexed feet with contemporary. I like dancing at BPAC because of the community. I have with amazing friends and amazing teachers here.”
Ava
Ava is our Level 1 representative for Student of the Month. Ava is in the 7th grade and attends Lewisville Middle School. Ava has a desire to improve her technique and asks for feedback in class to apply corrections. She takes initiative by practicing her choreography in her spare time. Ava has a vibrant and exuberant personality that lifts the atmosphere in the studio.
When asked why she loves to dance, Ava said: “I love to dance because dance helps me express my emotions without using words. I love performing on stage with all my friends and learning new dances. My favorite style of dance is jazz. I just love the music and how upbeat it is. It lifts my mood every time I do a jazz dance. I started dancing at BPAC when I was three and I’ve made so many friends and amazing memories. BPAC is like a second home to me. Every time I come to dance it feels like a safe space where I can just be myself and no one is judging me.”
Piper
Piper is a Level 2 dancer and is excited to be Student of the Month! Piper is in the second grade at Sherwood Elementary School. She is an excellent listener and is always eager to apply corrections. Her natural talent shines through in every class. We’re so proud of her dedication and positive attitude. Congratulations, Piper!
Here’s what Piper said about dance: “I love to dance because l like to learn different moves. I like dancing in costumes with sparkles. My favorite style of dance is Jazz because there are a lot of moves where you can be sassy. I love dancing here at BPAC because my friends dance here.”
LOLA
This precious girl is Lola and she is the Level 3 Student of the Month! Lola is an excellent listener and learns dance moves quickly. She comes to dance class with a huge smile on her face and brings joy to her friends.
Lola loves dance because “dancing is my favorite. My favorite styles of dance are tap and ballet. I like tap because I like the sound of the tap shoes. I like ballet because it’s graceful. I like dancing with my friends.”
Haddie
Last but not least, Haddie is our Preschool representative for Student of the Month! Haddie is the perfect mixture of sassy and sweet! She is full of life and you can catch her twirling and jumping around the studio. Dance makes Haddie happy, and Haddie makes us happy! We love you, Haddie!
Haddie said this about dancing: “I love dancing because it’s fun and because my mom always drops me off. I like doing twirls and leaps. I love being in The Nutcracker. Ms. Meghan is so good at teaching.”
